Have you heard about 'Nenas Babagon' before?? How many of you have tasted it?? Well the truth is i never until today. I just knew today that 'Nenas Babagon' is the hottest and famous pineapples in town / Sabah nowadays. It is well known for its sweetness...pity me ...abis jarang pigi tamu kan.
Anyway one of the high rank fellow from KL that perhaps got deals or involved with our company/project visited site today and it is said that this high rank fellow has seek assistant to buy him the famous 'Nenas Babagon' for him to bring back home. You see, West Malaysian lagi aware of this 'Nenas Babagon' thing than me (malu nye). So our Project Manager (PM) send one of our boy in the office to look for it.
Our boy managed to get the 'nenas babagon' from tamu Donggongon and bought 10biji sekali and i heard they paid more than 100 bucks (macam RM5 sekilo kah, kalu ndak silap). Some of us are curious over its 'kefemesan' and tempted to taste even our Project Manager. Nice round pineapples and smell so good. So PM asked us to open 1 for testing and the rest to pack for the high rank fellow to bring back home.
I think to choose a better quality of 'nenas babagon' needs someone that have the ability to see, smell and pick the good pineapples.
As of the case above, upper part is slight ok but the bottom part (circled with red) macam bulum berapa tu kantalan dia lah kan macam si Othoe bilang hehehehe....
My verdict : It taste a bit of sweet n sour!! Even it taste sour but the upper part i can taste the 'almost good sweetness taste' is there but not up to the famously claim 'nenas babagon well known for its sweetness" thing . Is just that i think the one that we opened and tasted is half ripe.
But i think if the 'nenas babagon' really up to it 'ripest standard' it must be tasted really good and the sweetest thing.
Since, i just knew about 'nenas babagon' is famous pineapples in town gonna asked my dad to buy the good and better taste one. Hope dad have any idea what is this 'nenas babagon' thing is cause he loves to go tamu.

bah sentiki kita, saya pun x tahu menahu pasal nanas babagon ni..tadi saya ingat nanas bambangan...sekali saya baca betul2x baru saya tahu babagon pula....nanti mau tanya mami saya dulu lah..tapi sedap tu kalu letak kicap and amaoi2x...hmm nyum nyum..
1st time jg dgr nama ni nenas. tp kureng sikit sama nenas sbb takut batuk. hohoho..

Mmg pames nanas di sana tu Moi. Slalu sa dpt free sbb ramai my colik keja sana. Now kurang2 suda sbb...mcm sa saturang saja gondoot mkn nenas di rumah so wasted kalu batimbun di rumah.
Moi, kalu ko di Donggongon, kadang2 ada tu odu2 pandai approach ko kalu mau bili nenas dia. Nenas babagon laitu and dorang jual sangat murah...rm3 for 5 biji! Smtimes hubi sa bili sbb pity the old lady angkat2 berat tu nanas.

sy x tau pulak nenas ni ada spesies dan siap ada nama BABAGON. Aku suka makan nenas. Tapi sayangnya aku allergic dengan nenas. Asal makan nenas mesti kena keputihan. Cian.. susah jugak kaum wanita ni kan.
